West Bridgford: Residents are being advised of upcoming temporary road closures along Central Avenue this week.
The closures are necessary for urgent sewer line repairs.
Dates and Times: The affected section of Central Avenue will be closed from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM on both Wednesday, November 13th, and Thursday, November 14th, 2024.
The temporary prohibition will be in place from the junction with Bridgford Road to the junction with Albert Road.
The work is being conducted by Severn Trent Water to carry out essential repairs in the sewer line within a manhole chamber. During this period, traffic will be unable to access the closed segment of Central Avenue.
Alternative Routes: Drivers are encouraged to use Bridgford Road and Rectory Road as alternative routes to minimise disruption. Appropriate signage will be in place to guide motorists along these diversion paths.
Buses
Severn Trent Water are to carry out works on Central Avenue that will require a diversion to Green 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.
On the 13th and 14th November, between 09:00-16:00 each day, these services will operate via Bridgford Road. with temporary stops sited behind the shops.
