Hundreds of people filled Central Avenue for the annual event today.
In a change from previous years the Christmas Market was held in Lutterell Hall.
Performers from Plumtree Juniors, Nottingham High Infant and Junior School, St Edmund Campion Year 5 and 6 Choir, Sandra Taylor School of Dance and Matt Chapman.
There were no fireworks this year but an illuminated finale at the stage area lit up the lawn.
The Mayor of Rushcliffe led the countdown to the lights switch-on.
