West Bridgford freemasons lodge donates to Friary

Lodge members visit Friary West Bridgford to hand in a donation.

Michael Uwins and Paul Edwards-Cleaves of the Lodge of Charity 8769 which meets at Welbeck Hall in West Bridgford had the pleasure of visiting the Friary drop-in on Musters Road to meet with Ben Talbot their Chief Executive and present a cheque to the charity on behalf of the brethren of the Lodge of Charity 8769.

The Friary offers a warm and welcoming environment for those who have no accommodation. Its main aim is to help the most vulnerable in our society to rebuild their lives.

It provides an initial point of contact in times of crisis and opens its doors to provide food and hot drinks, shower facilities, welfare and health advice and access to computers for CV writing and job hunting, just to name a few of the things that they provide. They also have the Friary Allotment Project called ‘Let’s Grow Together.
