West Bridgford Junior and Infant School Food Festival is back this May

Following the huge success of the Community Food Festival for the past three years, the event will return on Saturday 17 May 2025.

Originally, this event was organised as part of the ongoing work of the Community Hub, formed to promote wider engagement with the local school community, and celebrate the cultural diversity within our community.

Beth Arnold, who is Deputy Head Teacher and also leads the Community Hub, spoke to the Wire about this year’s event:

“We’re delighted to be able to host this exciting gathering again this year. The success of the Community Food Festival has grown and grown and is well attended by both our school community and the wider local community.

“This year we will showcase the return of some of our favourite food stalls such as Vegetarian Rasoi, Falafal Baffle and Chloe’s Cupcakes alongside some new and enticing food offers!

“We are also thrilled to announce that we will be entertained throughout the day with a superb selection of live music from The Food Doctors, Litmus Paper, Samba Band and our very own West Bridgford Junior and Infant School Choirs.

“We also have a hula artist who will wow us with her performances and free workshops as well as lots of other activities and entertainment for the children to get involved in.

This year promises to be even better than last, and is open to all our friends and family in the local West Bridgford Community. There is free entry to the event so if you can make it we’d love to see you there.

Just come along anytime between 11am till 3.30pm to our Cottages Field on Tudor Road in West Bridgford NG2 6EB, and enjoy our Community Food Festival vibe!”
