West Bridgford takes on the West End

Nottingham-based independent educational charity Music for Everyone (MfE) invites you to book a place for an entertaining day-long workshop of well-known hits from the musicals and West End, taking place at the Rushcliffe Spencer Academy (Boundary Road, NG2 7BW) on Saturday 23 March.

Enjoy the glitz and glam of the theatre with special guest compere and baritone soloist Simon Theobald and conducted by MfE’s dynamic Assistant Artistic Director, Rachel Parkes. The programme will include foot tapping numbers from Oliver and Guys and Dolls, unforgettable melodies from West Side Story and Chess, and moving songs from hit musical Blood Brothers.

Rachel Parkes commented: “This is a wonderful and fun opportunity to learn and sing numbers from some of your favourite musicals, and perhaps a few you haven’t sung before. Our workshops cater for adults of all singing abilities, and you are treated to the highest level of vocal technique and training throughout the day.”

The day finishes with an informal cabaret-style concert at 4.30pm, including a performance from MfE’s Open Voices choir which caters for adults with learning difficulties and disabilities with a selection of songs from their favourite musicals.

Bookings for the workshop or tickets for the concert are available online from www.music-for-everyone.org or call 0115 958 9312.
