West Bridgford: Traffic restrictions for cricket match days at Trent Bridge

Motorists in West Bridgford are being warned of a series of temporary traffic restrictions this summer as thousands of cricket fans are expected to descend on Trent Bridge for the 2025 cricket season.

Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club, in partnership with Chevron Traffic Management, has announced a detailed traffic control plan covering Type 1 and 2 event match days — including high-profile England internationals, The Hundred fixtures, and the Metro Bank Cup final.

Key Restrictions in Force:

On designated match days, the following streets will be affected:

  • Fox Road and Hound Road (full length):

    • No waiting, loading, or unloading at any time.

    • One-way system in place from A6520 Radcliffe Road to Bridgford Road.

    • Occasional full closures during team coach arrivals.

  • A6520 Radcliffe Road (between A60 Loughborough Road and Fox Road):

    • No waiting, loading, or unloading.

    • No U-turns or right turns into Pavilion Road.

  • Bridgford Road (between A60 and Stratford Road):

    • No parking restrictions in place.

    • Traffic lights will be temporarily installed to aid exit from Bridge Field car park.

  • Musters Road (both east and west sides near Bridgford Road):

    • No waiting, loading, or unloading.

  • Pavilion Road:

    • No right turn onto Radcliffe Road.

Match Days Affected:

The restrictions will apply across multiple dates through June to September, including:

  • June 28

  • July 6, 11, 18

  • August 4, 5, 10, 16, 19, 27

  • September 14, 20, 21

Additional traffic management measures will be active around Bridge Field car park exits during peak times post-match, with temporary lights in operation on several evenings and weekends.
