Witness appeal after collision in Nottingham leaves man seriously injured

Police investigating a serious road traffic collision have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

The incident happened in Valley Road between Hucknall Road and Nottingham Road, shortly after 8pm yesterday (Sunday 28 September) when it was reported a van and two cars were involved in a collision.

It is believed one of the vehicles involved then collided with two further vehicles in Wallis Street and at the junction of Arnold Road and Queensberry Street.

A man, in his sixties, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Another person is currently in hospital with injuries following the collision.

Valley Road remains closed whilst the investigation continues.

Officers investigating the incident are now appealing for anyone who saw what happened, and who may have dash-cam or CCTV footage of these incidents to get in touch with them immediately.

Detective Sergeant Joanne Eaton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“This was a very serious collision that has left a man in hospital with serious injuries.

“We are working to understand exactly what happened in the moments before, during and after these incidents and would like to hear from any additional witnesses.

“We particularly want to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage of this incident.”
