Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was hit by a car in Hyson Green.
The victim, aged in her 50s, remains in a critical condition in hospital after the incident in Radford Road, near the junction with Berridge Road, shortly after 1am on Sunday (3 December).
A driver initially left the scene before returning and speaking to officers.
The 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of an accident. He has since been released pending further investigation.
Sergeant Mark Baker, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said:
“This incident has left a woman with very serious injuries and we are working to understand what happened.
“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 41 of 3 December 2023.”
