Woman pulled to the ground and robbed in Carrington Street

An investigation is ongoing into the incident, which happened at 8.25am on Monday 30 August 2021.

A woman was pulled to the ground and left on the floor after a man grabbed her handbag from her shoulder before running off.

The robber approached her before pulling her handbag from her shoulder, bringing her to the ground before running off.

A number of people working nearby found her on the floor but she is believed to have got back to her feet and also left the scene.

An investigation is ongoing into the incident, which happened at 8.25am on Monday (30 August 2021) in Carrington Street, Nottingham, and officers are appealing for anyone with information.

PC Ben McAree, from Nottinghamshire Police, is investigating the incident and said: “A woman was left on the floor and could have easily been seriously injured by actions of this man described in the report we received.

“Robbery can have a huge impact on victims as this involves their property being taken by force. Reports such as this will always elicit a thorough investigation and officers are conducting a number of enquiries, including reviewing CCTV footage in the area.

“We are also appealing for any information which could lead us to identify the suspect, and we would urge anyone who saw the incident or has information to get In touch on 101, quoting incident 242 of 30 August 2021.”
