The road is blocked due to bus fire on A52 Radcliffe Road Westbound between the Cotgrave turn off and the A6011 (Gamston roundabout) affecting traffic towards Nottingham.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the route after a bus caught fire on the carriageway.
Fire crews were called to the blaze on the A52 westbound between Gamston and West Bridgford at 6:20 pm on Wednesday, a spokesperson said.
No-one has been injured in the incident.
