Police have shut down an extensive cannabis grow found inside a barn on a Nottinghamshire farm.
Officers attended the farm in Springs Road, Misson, Bassetlaw, after concerns were raised by the electricity provider at 10.40 a.m. on Wednesday, 14 January.
When they gained entry to the building, which had been rented out, a grow of around 1,000 cannabis plants was discovered across two floors.

The crop will now be destroyed.
The grow has been dismantled, and work will take place to make the building safe.
Inspector Rob Harrison, local area commander for Bassetlaw, said:
“This was a large grow which would have made a substantial amount of money for those behind it, so we’re pleased to have shut it down.
“Farms and agricultural sites like this can be tempting targets for criminals who set up these grows, but we have teams working across these areas and take rural crime extremely seriously as a force.
“Cannabis grows create hazards for residents wherever they are located because of the risk from fire and attracting other criminals who try to steal the crop.
“Our inquiries are ongoing, and anyone with information should contact us.”
If you can assist, call police on 101, quoting incident number 204 of 14 January 2026, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
