Work is ongoing to recover the lorry that left the carriageway on the M1.
AA Roadwatch reports:
‘One lane closed and queueing traffic for nine miles due to recovery work and accident, a lorry involved on M1 Southbound after J22 A50 (Coalville / Ashby-De-La-Zouch). Congestion to J23A (Derby).’

Highways England’s latest update:
‘J22 M1 southbound entry slip remains closed, lane 1 (of 3 lanes) is now closed for vehicle recovery work.’
Highways England said at 8 am:
‘M1 southbound J22 entry slip road closed and lanes 1 and 2 (of 3 lanes) due to a multi vehicle collision.
‘One lorry is on its side. update to follow.’
