All Nottinghamshire Councils have added details to a central hub giving details of community support and volunteers working near you.
Nottingham City Council, Nottinghamshire County Council, Ashfield District Council, Bassetlaw District Council, Browtowe Borough Council, Gedling Borough Council, Mansfield District Council, Newark and Sherwood District Council and Rushcliffe Borough Council are all working to ensure we support residents as best we can during the Coronavirus outbreak.
We are also aware of the large number of local groups and volunteers who are working hard to provide support to the those in need, and we are extremely grateful to them for the work they are doing in their communities.
Over the upcoming weeks we will continue to look at the best ways in which we can help individuals and groups to continue to provide that support, while meeting our own obligations with regard to providing support to everyone involved.
Local help
There are a number of local volunteer groups offering help if you are staying at home because of Coronavirus. To find what services are being offered in your area, click on the relevant tab below. Alternatively, you can call our Customer Service Centre on 0300 500 8080 between 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
Guidance for residents who need support from volunteers during the Coronavirus outbreak
If you are responsible for a community group, faith group, charity, parish or town council and are not listed but are planning to support people who are self-isolating we would like to hear from you.

Healthy Start
Please be aware during these difficult times that people may be eligible for food and vitamin vouchers through the national Healthy Start scheme.
People eligible for Healthy Start are pregnant women and families (with children under 4) on benefits and low incomes. Eligible women and families receive food vouchers worth £3.10 per week, and more when their child is under a year old.
Eligible pregnant women and children are also entitled to free vitamins.

Right Track social enterprise (covering Bulwell and Bulwell Forest wards)
Right Track recognise these are extraordinary times and as a Social Enterprise working in Bulwell and Bulwell Forest, we want to offer some support to the community.
Commencing Monday 23 March and initially running until 17 April, these services are for those who are isolated, disabled and elderly and free of charge. (All the phone numbers are standard rate calls)

We have made two people available Monday to Friday between 10am and 2pm to pick up and deliver essential items to those who are isolated, disabled and elderly. We don’t have the facility to pay for the items, however the collection and delivery is free of charge.

If you have been made redundant or at risk of redundancy, we can offer advice on what to do next, free remote training and signposting to relevant organisations. We cannot provide financial support but advice on your next steps.

The Rosie May Foundation
The Rosie May Foundation (reg. charity 1113049), is providing a free delivery service to support local businesses and help with the delivery of goods to vulnerable people in the local community.
Support is available for free, seven days a week, to help those over 70, self-isolating or working as NHS / key workers.
Volunteers are being trained to drive the charity’s pink Tuk Tuk to deliver pre-paid prescriptions and groceries, in adherence with Government guidelines to prevent the spread of infection.
