A man has now been charged after two people were hospitalised following an assault in the summer.
A 27-year-old man from Doncaster has now been charged with grievous bodily harm following the incident in July.
The charge relates to an in incident in 4 July in Greenwood Avenue in Harworth.
A man suffered a large cut to the back of his head and had to be taken to hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile a woman had to have surgery to her hand.
Detective Constable Jackie Price who lead the investigation said: “Both victims are lucky their injuries weren’t more serious given the nature of the attack. They both had treatment at hospital, but has since been discharged and are recovering.
“Officers were quickly on the scene to start their investigation and a man was arrested.
“This must have been a terrifying experience for all the victims and those in the area at the time.
“We believe this is an isolated incident, with no danger to the rest of the community.”
Matthew Emmerson, 27, of Essex Avenue in Doncaster has been charged with two counts of grievous bodily harm, affray and criminal damage. He is next to due appear Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 15 January 2021.
