Nottinghamshire weather for Sunday 1 March

Sunday is set to be milder but unsettled at first, with outbreaks of morning rain giving way to largely dry and cloudy conditions through the afternoon and evening.

Early morning
Cloudy skies will dominate early on, with rain developing through the morning commute period. The likelihood of rain increases sharply between 7am and 9am, peaking at around 90 per cent. Temperatures will hold near 8C, with a light to moderate southerly wind at around 11mph and gusts reaching the mid-20mph range, making it feel damp and breezy.

Midday
Showers begin to ease towards late morning and around midday, with rain chances falling to between 20 and 40 per cent. Conditions remain mostly cloudy but brighter spells may start to appear. Temperatures rise steadily to around 11C to 12C. Winds strengthen slightly from the south to south-south-west at around 14mph, with gusts approaching 30mph.

Afternoon
The afternoon looks largely dry with only a small risk of isolated showers. Cloud cover persists but occasional brighter intervals are possible. Temperatures reach a mild high of around 13C during mid to late afternoon. South-south-westerly winds continue at 14mph, with gusts near 28 to 29mph giving a breezy feel.

Evening
Dry conditions are expected through the evening with extensive cloud cover and only a minimal chance of rain, falling below five per cent later in the night. Temperatures gradually dip from around 13C at 4pm to near 11C by late evening, with overnight values around 8C. Winds remain from the south or south-south-west at 13 to 15mph, with gusts up to 32mph keeping conditions mild but blustery overnight.
