Major road improvements planned across Rushcliffe – full list of schemes

A wide range of road improvement works are planned across Rushcliffe as part of Nottinghamshire County Council’s 2026/27 highways programme.

The schemes cover everything from major A-road resurfacing and preventative treatments to smaller residential road upgrades, drainage improvements and footway works.

Key routes through West Bridgford, Ruddington and surrounding villages are included, alongside dozens of local estate roads and rural connections.

Works are split across different types of maintenance, including resurfacing, surface dressing, structural repairs and preventative treatments designed to extend the life of roads.

Preventative treatments like surface dressing and micro asphalt make up a significant share of the work, reflecting a strategy to extend road life and reduce long-term repair costs.

However, some schemes are marked as deferred, indicating ongoing pressures on the highways budget and the need to prioritise works.
