Updates: Bomb disposal teams attend Clifton incident

Nottinghamshire Police say they were called out to a suspicious package.

Police said:

‘The EOD ( bomb disposal team ) unit has made the item safe and we have stood down the cordon. Thank you again to local residents for your patience.’

Police said in an update at 5 pm Saturday 18 April:

‘We were called to Sunninghill Park, in Sunninghill Drive, Clifton, at 11.51am today following a report of a suspicious package.

‘As a precaution, an Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit is in attendance.

‘A cordon is in place and we thank local residents for their patience and understanding while work is carried out to bring the incident to a safe conclusion.’
