A number of roads in Derby are currently closed because of a police incident.
7:15 am – Motorists on social media suggest the Pentagon Island is open – no official update from police
Derbyshire Police said at 5 am on Friday 15 May that Eastgate, the A52 Pentagon Island, Derwent Street and Exeter Street are all affected, with motorists being urged to avoid the area and use alternative routes.
The nature of the incident has not yet been confirmed, and it is not known how long the closures will remain in place.
Drivers should expect delays in the surrounding area while emergency services deal with the incident.
