Police discovered a quantity of drugs in a safe and seized multiple weapons after a raid on a home.
Officers executed a warrant at the address in Gabor Close, Clifton, Nottingham, at 9.30am on Monday (15 June).
After gaining entry to the house, the Clifton neighbourhood policing team found a number of items in various rooms.
A safe in the bedroom contained large bags of cannabis, cash, and a BB gun.
Officers also found a large amount of suspected cocaine, further cannabis, weighing scales and drugs paraphernalia.
A large knife in a sheath was seized from another room and a high-powered electric bike, a stun-gun, a second knife, and a knuckle duster were located.
Following these finds, two people who were inside the property were detained.
A man, aged 19, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
Officers also arrested a 38-year-old woman on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug, possession of a prohibited firearm and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
Sergeant Simon Reid, of the neighbourhood team, said:
“From previous investigations we had reason to believe drugs were being stored and prepared for sale at this address.
“These suspicions proved correct and the warrant allowed us to take both drugs and weapons off the street and out of harm’s way.
“Tackling drug dealing and associated crime is a priority for our team so this was a positive result which will hopefully be welcomed by members of the community.”
