Image released after restaurant staff assaulted in Nottingham city centre

Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to after two members of restaurant staff were assaulted in Nottingham.

The first employee was assaulted after declining to serve a customer who appeared to be heavily intoxicated.

A second member of staff came to his colleague’s aid and was also assaulted by the same offender.

The incidents happened at a restaurant in Long Row on the afternoon of 23 May.

PC Martin Jones-Fovargue, who is leading the investigation, said:

“This kind of behaviour is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

“Thankfully the staff members were not seriously injured but were understandably left shaken by what happened.

“We want to speak to the man pictured as part of our ongoing inquiries into the incident. We have pursued a number of lines of inquiry to trace him and are now asking for the public’s help.
