Roadworks planned across Rushcliffe in July will affect routes in West Bridgford, Bunny, Sutton Bonington, Gotham, East Leake and several village locations.
The works include overnight road marking, carriageway repairs, temporary traffic signals, stop-and-go boards and one full road closure later in the month.
Via East Midlands will carry out a series of overnight road marking schemes from Monday 6 July. Keyworth Lane in Bunny will be subject to rolling two-way signals along the whole length of the road from 8pm on Monday 6 July until 4am on Wednesday 8 July. The restrictions will only be in place overnight, between 8pm and 4am, with the road clear at other times.
Similar overnight work is planned on Main Street, Stanford on Soar, at the junction with Meadow Lane and Stanford Lane, from 8pm on Monday 6 July until 4am on Wednesday 8 July. Two-way signals will be used, with temporary signals on Stanford Lane when required. Church Lane in Thrumpton, at the junction with Barton Lane, will also have three-way signals during the same overnight period.
Melton Lane in Sutton Bonington will be affected by overnight rolling two-way signals along the whole length of the road from 8pm on Monday 6 July until 4am on Wednesday 8 July while road markings are refreshed or replaced. Further work is also planned on Melton Lane on Wednesday 15 July, around 275 metres west of the junction with Landcroft Lane, where two-way signals will be in place from 9.30am to 3.30pm for the replacement of a damaged column.
In West Bridgford, Wilford Lane will be affected by overnight rolling two-way signals from the junction with Loughborough Road to the junction with Gresham Close. The restrictions are scheduled from 8pm on Tuesday 7 July until 4am on Thursday 9 July, operating overnight only while road markings are refreshed or replaced.
Gotham will see overnight three-way signals at The Square, at its junction with Leake Road, from 8pm on Tuesday 7 July until 4am on Thursday 9 July for road marking work. A separate scheme is planned on Leake Road, around 60 metres south of the junction with Hill Road, where two-way signals will be in use from 9.30am to 3pm on Thursday 16 July while a damaged street light is replaced or repaired.
Carriageway repairs are planned on Cotgrave Road, Owthorpe, from the junction with Kinoulton Lane to a point around 155 metres north-west. Rolling two-way signals will be in place from 8am to 3pm daily from Monday 6 July to Tuesday 7 July.
On Main Street, West Leake, two-way signals will be in place 24 hours a day from 8am on Monday 13 July until 3.30pm on Friday 17 July. The works, around 300 metres east of the junction with Dark Lane, are to repair broken or blocked drainage pipes.
Severn Trent Water is due to carry out work on Fern Road, Cropwell Bishop, around 40 metres west of the junction with Pasture Lane. Two-way signals will be used from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Tuesday 14 July while a damaged frame and cover is replaced.
Stragglethorpe Road, Stragglethorpe, will have two-way signals from 9.30am to 3pm on Wednesday 15 July for work to replace or repair a damaged central refuge. The works are around 260 metres north-west of the junction with Colliers Way.
On the same day, stop-and-go boards will be used on Wharf Lane, Radcliffe on Trent, around 30 metres south of the junction with Oak Avenue. Amey and Aecom, working on behalf of Network Rail, will use the road to carry out an inspection of the rail track over the bridge between 9am and 5pm.
A temporary road closure is also planned on Main Street, East Leake, from its junction with Sailsbury Avenue to its junction with Meeting House Close and Costock Road. Severn Trent Water is due to install a new water connection from 8am on Monday 27 July until 6pm on Wednesday 29 July.
The diversion route will use Costock Road, East Leake; Leake Road, Costock; Main Street, Costock; Loughborough Road, Costock; Loughborough Road, Rempstone; Ashby Road, Rempstone; Melton Road, Stanford on Soar; Rempstone Road, Normanton on Soar; Travells Hill, East Leake; Woodgate Road, East Leake; and Brookside, East Leake.
Road users are advised to allow extra time where temporary signals or closures are in place, particularly during daytime works and the East Leake closure later in July.
