Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service ask people nearby to keep doors and windows closed.
Six fire crews and a water bowser are at the scene of a fire in the outdoors on land near Nottingham Road.

The service said at around 3:30 pm on Thursday 9 July:
‘We currently have crews from Eastwood Fire Station, Highfields Fire Station, Stapleford Fire Station, Hucknall Fire Station, Worksop Fire Station, London Road Fire Station with support from Ilkeston fire station in attendance at a fire on Nottingham Road in Nuthall.
‘Our Joint Fire control are receiving a high number of calls about the incident, but please be reassured we are aware.
‘If you live nearby please keep windows and doors closed.’
