Victoria Embankment Paddling Pool has temporarily closed because of a health and safety issue.
The closure comes as the school summer holidays get under way and is expected to affect families planning to visit the popular Nottingham attraction.
Officials said work was under way to resolve the issue and reopen the pool safely as soon as possible.
A further update will be issued when more information is available.
A spokesperson said on Friday 24 July:
‘Unfortunately, Victoria Embankment Paddling Pool is temporarily closed due to a Health & Safety issue.
‘We know the school holidays are underway, and we’re really sorry for the disappointment this will cause to families planning a visit.
‘The safety of our visitors is our top priority. We’re doing everything we can to get the paddling pool safely reopened as soon as possible.
‘Thank you for your patience and understanding. We’ll share another update as soon as we have one.’
