A man has been charged with weapon and driving offences after officers were taunted in Daybrook.
Officers were at the scene of a McDonald’s car park in Sir John Robinson Way, Daybrook, at around 4.30am on Monday when they saw a motorbike rider driving antisocially in the car park.
Following a short chase, the man fell from his motorcycle, and he was arrested.
During a search of the man, officers seized a bottle of alcohol and a large machete, along with the motorbike.
Callum Clifton, aged 19, of Mountfield Drive, Bestwood, has been charged with driving without insurance, driving without a licence, drink driving, and possession of a bladed article.
Clifton was released on bail and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on September 22.
PC Dan Armstrong, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our officers were extremely quick to react after they spotted a vehicle being ridden anti-socially.
“We take anti-social behaviour very seriously, and I would encourage anyone who has seen or been a victim of nuisance behaviour to get in touch.”
