Attenborough Nature Centre has cancelled two events planned for its October Wild Weekend because of forecast rain and strong winds.
The cancellations affect:
- Friday 23 October: Attenborough Adventurers Stay and Play
- Saturday 24 October: Family Bonfire Party
The centre said the conditions would make it difficult to run the activities safely for staff and participants.
Ticket holders will be contacted, with refunds issued where appropriate.
Other advertised events are still due to go ahead as planned. The centre said it would contact ticket holders if there were any further changes or important updates.
In its notice, the centre said: “We appreciate your support and hope you consider attending our other events.”
