In Nottingham, Maid Marian Way remains a significant congestion concern, while new roadworks are scheduled in West Bridgford and a daytime closure in Loughborough will affect South Notts 1 buses.

Rail passengers face altered early-morning services between Derby and Nottingham, and major engineering works will affect trains between Nottingham and Norwich this weekend.

M1 – further restrictions tonight

Several additional restrictions are scheduled between 20:00 tonight and 06:00 on Saturday 31 October.

The southbound exit slip road at junction 25 is also listed for closure.

Separate roadworks information lists overnight restrictions affecting the northbound entry and exit slip roads at junction 26.

These are planned works rather than emergency closures. Their implementation remains subject to confirmation.

M1, A1, A46 and A52

The latest accessible National Highways-derived incident information, updated at 05:38, reported no active full closures on the M1.

An A52 check updated at 05:25 also reported no active full closures.

The latest A1 information, updated at 04:29, showed no emergency incident closures, although planned roadworks remained listed.

No major new collision has been independently confirmed on Nottinghamshire’s strategic road network.

Motorists should check National Highways live traffic updates before travelling.

West Bridgford – new roadworks scheduled

Two new traffic management schemes are listed as beginning today.

Compton Acres

Multi-way temporary traffic lights are scheduled on Compton Acres from Friday 30 October until Monday 2 November.

Nottingham – Maid Marian Way congestion continues

The demolition of the former Broad Marsh NCP car park continues to affect traffic through Nottingham city centre.

Nottingham City Transport maintains its warning that the works have caused severe congestion across the city centre and surrounding roads.

The operator says services are experiencing severe delays and short-notice cancellations.

This is an ongoing network warning rather than confirmation of individual cancellations this morning.

City-centre bus diversions

The temporary stopping arrangements remain in operation.

Turquoise 77/C, 78/A/B and 79/B services use Talbot Street, Shakespeare Street and North Church Street before terminating on Burton Street alongside The Cornerhouse.

Outbound journeys towards Strelley and Bulwell depart from Burton Street stop T7.

Navy 1, 4 and 48/A, together with Pathfinder 90, are not serving Maid Marian Way stop M5 towards the city centre.

Red 45/B passengers should use stop M2 outside Nottingham Lighting Centre instead of the stop near The Salutation.

These changes will remain until the demolition works are complete.
