Diversion Route
Road users travelling southbound are advised to follow the solid diamond diversion symbol on road signs:
- Exit the A38 at Little Eaton roundabout onto the A61 south, follow for 3.5km.
- At the roundabout junction (Pentagon Island) with the A52, turn left (east onto the A52 Chequers Road toward Nottingham)
- Follow the A52 for 2.75km then turn right (south), onto the A5111(T) and continue for 2km.
- Turn left onto the A6 Alvaston Bypass and continue to junction with the A50(T). At the A50(T), turn right (west) for 12km to rejoin the A38 at Toyota Island
Alternative Route:
- Exit the A38(T) at Kingsway roundabout onto the A5111 south and follow for 0.9km
- At the signalised junction with the A516, turn right and follow to rejoin the A38
Road users travelling northbound are advised to follow the solid circle diversion symbol on road signs:
- Exit the A38(T) at the A516 northbound slip road.
- Travel east on the A516, continuing over City Hospital roundabout.
- Turn left onto the A5111 northbound, at the signalised junction.
- Continue on the A5111 north to rejoin the A38(T) at Kingsway Island
