Police are appealing for help to identify a jogger who was found collapsed in the street.
The woman, believed to be aged in her thirties or forties, was found in Berry Hill Lane, Mansfield, shortly after 5am this morning.
She was taken by ambulance from the scene – near the junction with Green Lane – and is being treated in hospital for serious injuries.
Officers have not yet been able to confirm who the woman is and are appealing for information.
She is around average height, of a slim build, has short brown hair with pink highlights and a floral tattoo on her upper left arm.
She also carried an iPod and was wearing a white top, blue running shorts and pink trainers.
Detective Inspector Ruby Burrow, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Whilst we don’t currently believe this incident to be suspicious, we are working hard to understand what has happened to this lady.
“Like many people out exercising she was not carrying any identification so we are asking for the public’s help in identifying who she is so we can make contact with her family.
“We would also like to speak to anyone who saw her in the jogging in the area in the early hours of this morning.”
