Appeal after New Year’s Day assault in Nottingham city

Police have released an image of a man they wish to trace after a teenager was knocked unconscious on New Year’s Day.
The incident happened at approximately 3 am in Pelham Street, Nottingham city centre.

Officers on routine patrol found the victim on the ground having been assaulted.

The 19-year-old was taken to hospital and treated for bruising and swelling.

Police have now released an image of a man they would like to trace and are calling on the public’s help to identify him.

PC Ben Harwood, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“Thankfully the victim did not receive any life-altering injuries but this assault will have understandably left him not only with physical injuries but also affected him emotionally as well.

“We believe the man in the image will be able to assist with our inquiries. If you are the man in this image, or if you know who he is, please contact us on 101, quoting crime number 23*2776.”
