Appeal after woman hit over the head with a bottle on a Nottingham bus

Police are seeking the public’s help after a woman was hit over the head with a bottle while on a bus.

Officers have released a CCTV image of a woman they would like to speak to in connection with the attack which happened on Nottingham City Transport’s 1A service, heading towards Clifton from the city centre.

The victim suffered a cut to her head and was taken to hospital.

The incident happened at around 8.30pm on 14 February 2022.

Police Constable Charlotte Webster, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a nasty unprovoked assault on a member of the public who was on a bus.

“We’re keen to speak to a woman, as pictured, as we believe she may have information which could assist us with our enquiries.

“I’d urge this woman, or anyone who thinks they know who she is, to please get in contact with us.”

Anyone who recognises the woman is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 742 of 14 February, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
