A suspect has been arrested after reports of a sexual assault in Nottingham city centre.
Officers were called to Victoria Street at 12.30am yesterday (Sunday) after a woman was approached inside a bar.
A 21-year-old man was arrested in the early hours of this morning on suspicion of sexual assault and remains in police custody.
Detective Sergeant Helen Sanders, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“This was an upsetting incident for the victim, and we have been working intensively to track down the person responsible.
“Following a public CCTV appeal a suspect has now come forward and an arrest has been made.
“Our inquiries will now continue.”
