A man has been arrested on suspicion of drug and weapons offences after police found a knife and drugs hidden inside a car in Basford.
Firearms officers stopped a Dacia Sandero in Wicker Close at around 9.50pm on Monday 26 January. During a search of the vehicle, officers found a lock knife and a glove concealed behind the fabric roof lining above the windscreen.
The glove was found to contain wraps of suspected Class A drugs, believed to be crack cocaine and heroin.
A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply and possessing a knife in a public place. He was also arrested on suspicion of drug-driving following a roadside drugs test, as well as for driving offences.
Inspector Chris Chell, of Nottinghamshire Police, said officers had removed drugs and a weapon from the streets following the stop.
Enquiries are ongoing.
