Detectives investigating a robbery outside a city centre bar have arrested a suspect.
The victim was pushed by an offender who then grabbed his bag outside the venue in Carlton Street, Nottingham.
Officers have analysed CCTV footage of the incident, which took place around 6.35pm on 29 June 2024, and carried out other local inquiries as part of their investigation.
They arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of robbery on Thursday (12 September).
He was further detained on suspicion of assault following an incident in Mapperley, Nottingham, on 11 August 2024 when a woman reported being punched in the face.
Detective Constable Louise Turton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“We have informed the victim about this important development in our ongoing investigation.
“No one deserves to have their personal belongings snatched from them while they are on an evening out.
“The robbery took place on a busy summer evening in the city centre. We believe there could be witnesses to the incident who have not yet spoken to an officer.
“If you have any information, or mobile phone footage, which could help please get in touch.”
