Arrests after street robbery in Nottingham

Police investigating a report of a robbery have arrested two suspects.

Officers were called to Burford Road, Radford, at around 10pm on Tuesday (7 October).

The victim, in his 20s, was approached by a man and woman in the street who started acting aggressively.

After being assaulted, he was then forced to hand over money.

Acting on intelligence, officers tracked down a vehicle on the same night and detained two individuals believed to be involved.

A 33-year-old man and a woman, 26, were arrested on suspicion of robbery and blackmail.

Detective Chief Inspector Claire Gould, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“There is absolutely no place for this kind of behaviour on our streets and we are working round the clock as a force to help stop incidents like this from happening.”
