Fire crews remain at the scene of a major blaze in Sutton Bonington, with multiple engines and specialist vehicles still in attendance following the fire at its peak on Wednesday.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews are expected to remain on site for a “significant amount of time” as work continues to fully bring the incident under control and manage any remaining hotspots.

The service has thanked partner agencies for their support during the response, including Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service, Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service, National Rail, Nottinghamshire Police and East Midlands Ambulance Service.

Images shown here released by the fire service shows the scale and intensity of the blaze at its height, with large flames and heavy smoke visible across the site.
Residents were previously advised to keep doors and windows closed due to smoke in the area. Further updates are expected as crews continue operations.
