Children in the village of Gotham, south Nottinghamshire can expect a visit from super-hero Batman this Easter Sunday.
The popular comic-book character will stand-in for the Easter Bunny this year and deliver chocolate eggs, where children 11 years old & under if will be eagerly waiting in their windows.
Batman, aka villager Mark Lowe, will be driven in his ‘Batmobile’ by wife Claire and expects the mission to start at 09:30 and be completed by 12:00.
Batman has used Facebook to ask local residents with children 11 years old & under if they would like Batman to turn up on Easter Morning and deliver an Easter Egg to the front of their house.
“Using a Facebook Group called “Batman Tracker”, he will log the progress of the Batmobile as he moves through the village. This will ensure children look out for him to say hello, meet him & have a photo opportunity.
The Batman Easter Special is being co-ordinated and funded by organisers of the annual summer music festival, Gotham-Fest. Where they will also be giving the residents of Gotham the ability to be the first to purchase tickets to the 2022 Festival.
Gotham Fest “The Music Festival of Legends” is back after a two year break due to the Covid Pandemic.
“Gotham Fest is an established not-for-profit music festival held in Gotham Nottinghamshire & this year it has grown to also include a Craft Stall area and Fun Fair, along with the usual two stages featuring the best of established and up and coming local talent, a professional bar and Street Food area.
