Car aquaplanes across carriageways hitting trees in Carlton

Another warning from fire crews dealing with a single-vehicle collision in Nottinghamshire.

Carlton Fire Station said:

‘It’s wet and there’s a lot of standing water across many of our roads.

‘This was the result of a vehicle aquaplaning from the opposite carriageway, becoming acquainted with several trees on the way.

‘The driver of the car simply didn’t see the standing water and lost control. They were taken to hospital with lots of aches and pains, and a fair amount of shock. Needless to say, it could have been much, much worse.
