Trent Bridge Christmas Carol Drone Light Show – all remaining shows postponed until 2025

Those that purchased tickets for this weekend will be able to transfer their tickets to shows next year.

A Christmas Carol Drone Light Show postponed due to adverse weather conditions.

Following the announcement yesterday that Celestial’s A Christmas Carol: The Drone Light Show would be postponed, organisers Yuup say they have continued to watch the weather conditions carefully in the hope that today’s show, on Sunday 8 December, and remaining contingency shows on Monday and Tuesday could go ahead.

Unfortunately, in the interest of audience safety, the team have once again had to make the difficult decision to postpone all remaining shows. All audience members will be offered tickets to alternative future shows instead.

Those that purchased tickets for this weekend will be able to transfer their tickets to:

  • A brand new drone light show currently in production which is due to come to Trent Bridge in March 2025.
  • The Christmas drone light show planned for Trent Bridge in November 2025.

Important show update – Sunday 8th Dec, Monday 9th Dec and Tuesday 10th Dec:

‘It is with regret that due to the continued adverse weather, the remaining scheduled performances of Celestial’s A Christmas Carol: The Drone Light Show at Trent Bridge, including contingency shows has been postponed. Please do not travel to the venue.

‘The team has carefully reviewed the situation at great length, and although we were really hoping to be able to continue with the shows as planned, unfortunately, it has become necessary to make this difficult decision in the interest of safety.

‘We want to apologise to all customers who will naturally be disappointed with this news. This is not the outcome that any of the team at Yuup, Celestial or Trent Bridge were hoping for, and we want to thank you all for your patience. We hope you understand that safety is our top priority.

‘We are offering all ticket holders the opportunity to transfer their tickets to any future Celestial drone light show ticketed by Yuup, including planned performances at Trent Bridge in March and November 2025. Tickets for the spring shows will be on sale in the next 2 weeks, at that point we will send all customers instructions on how to transfer bookings.

‘If you have any specific questions, please contact hello@yuup.co and we will get back to you as quickly as possible. If you have already sent us a message on email or direct message via our website and are awaiting a response, there is no need to submit additional messages as this will move you further down the queue.

‘We apologise for the disruption the weather in Nottingham this weekend has caused for our customers. Our team are working around the clock to do the best job possible to manage a very difficult situation.

‘Thank you in advance for your understanding and patience.’
