Farnborough Road development wins two categories at the RICS Awards East Midlands ceremony.
The winners of the RICS Awards 2026 in the East Midlands have been revealed, and some of the most impressive recent building projects from the area are on the list.
The projects went head-to-head at a ceremony in Nottingham, where the revitalisation of a former underused college site in Clifton was named the winner in both the Refurbishment/Revitalisation Project category and the Residential Development Project category.
The Farnborough Road development is a unique, flagship regeneration project that has been transformed into a vibrant mixed-use community.

Bringing residents and the client side by side in a truly unique location, it delivers high-quality independent living homes, specialist mental health supported-living facilities, modern office space, and enhanced community amenities.
The scheme creates a safe, inclusive environment where older people, vulnerable adults and local families can thrive. With its blend of social value, sustainable design and architectural quality, Farnborough Road stands as a shining example of regeneration with purpose, creating a lasting legacy for the Clifton community.
The judges commended the project for its ethical procurement, governance, transparency, public benefit, and reference to ICOMOS + CMP, aligned with global frameworks.
The RICS UK Awards showcase the most inspirational initiatives and developments in land, real estate, construction and infrastructure, recognising outstanding achievement, teamwork and companies. The winning projects at each of the regional awards ceremonies will go on to represent their region at the UK Grand Final on Thursday, 22 October.

The event was held at the Crowne Plaza Nottingham on Thursday, 16 July.
Commenting on the awards, UK National Awards Chair Kerry Gibbs MRICS said: “These Awards shine a spotlight on the most inspiring people, projects and innovations shaping the built and natural environment, creating a powerful platform that elevates the profile of chartered surveying and celebrates its impact on communities nationwide.
“This year, we received over 300 entries across all 12 of the RICS regions.
“The Awards are hugely important. They help demonstrate the positive impact that surveyors, as well as buildings, have on individuals and communities. They promote the role of surveying in making those projects a reality.”
