A Radford car stop led to the seizure of large amounts of drugs and cash.
Officers were on patrol at around 10.30 pm on Monday (4 May) when they spotted a vehicle linked to previous driving offences.
The car was pulled over on Alfreton Road, Radford, Nottingham, and a man was detained.
Officers from the road crime team spotted bags of drugs inside the car, and further searches led to the recovery of quantities of cocaine, ketamine, cannabis and MDMA.
Enquiries led to the search of a flat on Wells Road, St Ann’s, where further drugs were seized.
Some of these substances were in deal bags, ready to be sold on the street.
Officers also found cash, multiple mobile phones, weighing scales and other equipment associated with drug dealing.
A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.
Sergeant Charlotte Brooks, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Whenever we find drugs or weapons during car stops, officers always look to carry out further searches of properties connected to suspects.
“In this case, a combination of the car stop and property search has led to the seizure of significant amounts of harmful drugs, which will now be destroyed.
“Our team carries out these vehicle stops regularly while on patrol to tackle those using the county’s road network to transport drugs and engage in other criminal activity.”
