Rushcliffe Borough Council has carried out further improvement works at Bridgford Park in West Bridgford, including refurbishment work to the public toilets ahead of the summer events season.
The latest works include improvements to the toilet doors, following investment in facilities at Little Green café, which is located in the park.
The café building has been home to local businesses since 2011. Little Green has operated from the site since 2023, after taking over from the previous café business, Al Fresco.

Earlier work at the café included the construction of new toilets for staff, with the council saying the improvements were intended to support the business and its day-to-day operations.
The café and public toilets have remained open during the works.
The investment follows wider improvements at Bridgford Park last year, when both the Bridgford Park Play Area and the Teen Park Play Area were renovated. The council said those works formed part of more than £1 million of investment in parks and open spaces across the borough since 2021.
The latest improvements come as the park prepares for its annual programme of events, including Proms in the Park, which is due to return on Saturday 27 June, with further details expected to be announced soon. Lark in the Park is also expected to take place in August, with both events usually attracting thousands of visitors.
Cllr Abby Brennan said: “We’re pleased to be able to keep supporting the growth and development of our wonderful parks and open spaces with this investment into Little Green café in Bridgford Park.
“We have continued to improve and upgrade the premises. It acts as another step in our ongoing efforts to ensure we are providing the highest quality open spaces for local businesses and residents.
“We always want to help people enjoy our amazing parks and encourage them to get out and about as the warmer weather begins to arrive by providing great places to meet friends and have fun.”
