Coronavirus: Changes to Nottingham Hospitals visiting hours to protect patients

The changes are in place to protect patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust said:

In order to protect the safety of our patients please note the following changes:

Visitors must only be immediate family members or carers.

– Strictly one visitor per patient for one hour per day between the hours of 4pm and 7pm. Exceptions must be agreed with the nurse in charge.
– No visitors under the age of 16 years
– If your relative or friend is approaching the end of their life, we will support your visiting needs. Ask us about SWAN care
– Maternity services, children’s wards and critical care areas may differ from these times.
-Please check for individual ward times before you visit.

‘We would encourage families and friends to consider other ways of keeping in touch, such as personal mobile phone/video calls. Please try to avoid multiple calls to the ward telephone.’

We ask that the public respect these rules during the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you have symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) – a high temperature or a new, continuous cough – the advice is to stay at home for seven days.

All members of this household should remain at home for 14 days.

If you think you have symptoms, please do not attend your hospital appointment until you are advised it is safe to do so. Please contact us to rearrange your appointment, or to re-organise treatment and tests.
