Councillor John Cottee today presented a petition from over 800 residents for a pedestrian crossing on Wolds Drive in Keyworth following a collision between a young girl and a vehicle.
Wolds Drive is a busy road in the heart of Keyworth with South Wolds Academy nearby.
Cllr Cottee has worked with residents to get the petition together and will now be asking officers to undertake the feasibility study as soon as possible.
Cllr Cottee told the Wire:
“I would like to thank everyone who has signed this petition and especially South Wolds Academy for their support in this.
“I know how important it is to the community to get this crossing and allow school children and residents to cross Wolds Drive safely and I will be speaking to officers to make the case for this crossing.”
