Police share image after woman sexually assaulted in Talbot Street in Nottingham

Police want to speak to this man following a sexual assault in Nottingham city centre.

A woman was reportedly groped repeatedly and harassed as she tried to walk home.

The incident happened around 2.40am on 18 April, after the victim stopped at a shop in Talbot Street to buy food.

She was then approached by a man, who reportedly groped her multiple times and made several attempts to kiss her.

Despite being told to stop, the man reportedly continued with his unwanted advances and tried to follow the woman until she managed to get away.

Police have been investigating the incident since it was reported to them and can now release an image of someone they’d like to speak to as part of their inquiries.

PC Temeesha Hobbs, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“This was a very serious and unpleasant incident that understandably left the victim shaken up.

“The ordeal this woman was subjected to was completely unacceptable, so we’re determined to track down the person who targeted her.  

“On that note, we’re keen to speak to the man in this picture immediately, as we believe he could have valuable information that could assist our ongoing inquiries.

“Bearing this in mind, we’d ask him to please make himself known to us, or for anyone who recognises him to let us know.”
