Dashcam appeal after two motorcyclists killed in head-on collision

Police in Derbyshire are appealing for drivers with dashcam footage to come forward after a fatal collision on the A621 between Baslow and Owler Bar.

The incident, which occurred at 1.35pm on Saturday 20 July, involved two motorcyclists, travelling in opposite directions on the road, collide with one another.

Both of the riders, two men aged 54 and 57, died at the scene. Their families are aware and are being supported by specialist officers.

The road remained closed until 4.15pm on Sunday (July 21) to allow for officers from our Collision Investigation Unit to complete their investigations.

Those officers are now appealing for any drivers with dashcam footage from the area that may show either the red and black Suzuki GSXR 750, ridden by the 57-year-old, or the grey Kawasaki Ninja ZX1002, ridden by the 54-year-old.
