A suspected drug dealer was arrested after police found him hiding behind a bin following a chase.
Officers in an unmarked police car spotted what appeared to be a man selling drugs on Palin Street, Radford, shortly after midday on Saturday (4 April).
The officers pulled up alongside the suspected dealer, prompting him to flee on an electric bike.
Moments later, with the assistance of a member of the public, the rider was located crouching behind a bin in nearby Sophie Road.
The 42-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs after two bags of suspected cocaine were located and seized by officers.
The suspect was taken into custody for questioning and bailed pending further investigation work.
Chief Inspector Arnie Ahmed, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“This was an excellent piece of work by the officers involved in this arrest.
“Patrols like this allow us to observe these deals taking place and take appropriate action.
“Arrests like this seriously disrupt the illegal drugs trade and it is always good news when we can seize Class A drugs and destroy them.
“We will now continue with the investigation.”
