Road users are being advised of overnight closures on the A52 this week as part of a programme to upgrade roadside lighting to more energy-efficient LED systems.
The eastbound carriageway will be closed between Gamston and the RSPCA junction at Radcliffe-on-Trent from 9pm to 6am each night, from tonight through to Friday.
The works form part of wider efforts to modernise infrastructure and reduce energy use, with LED lighting expected to lower long-term running costs and improve reliability.
Access will be maintained for buses and for anyone requiring out-of-hours access to the RSPCA during the closures.
Drivers are advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for journeys while the overnight restrictions are in place.
