The final retail unit at Beeston Square has been let following the expansion of an existing town centre business into a larger premises.
Broxtowe Borough Council confirmed that Glass Orchid has taken on the remaining vacant unit within the Beeston Square development and will expand its operation under a new name, Glass & Co.
The venue opened to the public on Wednesday 25 February and introduces an Italian-influenced dining and bar experience in Beeston town centre. The expanded premises include a central bar area and a mezzanine level designed to provide additional seating and a fine-dining style environment.
The letting marks full occupancy of the council-owned redevelopment, which forms part of a wider programme aimed at regenerating Beeston town centre. Councillor Milan Radulovic MBE, the council’s portfolio holder for asset management and development, said the completion of the final unit reflected efforts to support local businesses and strengthen the town’s retail and leisure offer.
Owner Ronnie said the expanded venue aims to provide a flexible social space that complements wider investment and regeneration activity taking place across Beeston.
The expansion follows the recent opening of We Fix Feet nearby, which occupied another former vacant unit within the building previously occupied by Argos.
The Beeston Square redevelopment forms part of Broxtowe Borough Council’s wider £50 million long-term investment programme intended to support economic activity and increase footfall in Beeston town centre.
