Leiestershire Fire and Rescue Service attended the single-vehicle collision today.
A spokesperson said:
‘White Watch were off a little late this morning after attending an RTC at 06:10 with one person trapped on the M1 Southbound.
‘With the assistant of Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service Coalville Station and colleagues from East Midlands Ambulance Service one female was successfully extricated from the vehicle and taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries
‘With the roads remaining icy please take extra care, drive to the conditions and stay vigilant for black ice.’
