Five suspects have been arrested after a teenager was robbed at knifepoint in a park.
Police were called at 9.17pm on Wednesday (16 September) to reports that the 18-year-old victim had been targeted by a group in Moor Lane Park, Mansfield.
The victim was threatened and pushed to the ground before the offenders fled with his e-bike and watch.
Officers carried out area searches and later received a further call reporting that a group were in a car in nearby Redruth Drive.
Police found five people inside the car, and all were detained on suspicion of robbery.
The stolen watch, weighing scales and a quantity of cannabis were recovered from another car parked in the street.
Four 18-year-old men and a 19-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of robbery.
One of the 18-year-olds was also arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis.
Detective Inspector James Oakton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Robberies of this nature are unpleasant crimes which can have a significant impact on victims.
“Thanks to some prompt calls from the public, we have been able to arrest five suspects and recover the stolen watch.
“Investigations are ongoing to find the bike, and we’d still like to hear from anyone who can assist with our further enquiries into the incident.”
